Humans are energetic beings. We’re made of energy, and that energy has a significant impact on not only ourselves but also the people around us. When we get stuck in a low vibration, we feel anxious, low or depressed. When we’re vibrating high, we feel positive, happy and full of joy.
Every human on this planet has a vibration, energy field, aura, or whatever you wish to call it. That energy desires to find similar energies or a vibrational match, and believe me; it will find it whether you’re conscious of it or not. That means if you feel happy, positive and full of life, you will attract other humans or situations with a similar energetic field. If you feel low, anxious or depressed, it’s likely you have a low vibration which will also attract people and situations of a similar vibration. If you feel stuck in life and can’t move forward, raising your vibration can help you. The good news is there are multiple ways that you can raise your vibration today to change your life.

How to Raise Your Vibration
The way you choose to raise your vibration is down to you. Some techniques resonate more than others. My advice is to try it all and see what works for you. It’s important to note that some techniques can be used as a quick fix to immediately raise your vibration. And others you could consider incorporating into your daily well-being rituals.
Shake it off
One of the easiest ways I find to raise my vibration is to shake. You can do this anywhere at any time, giving you an immediate vibration boost. You’ve likely heard the term “shake it off”; this is where it comes from. You’re shaking off the low vibrational energies. Start by shaking your hands and arms, then shake your feet and legs. As you’re shaking, visualise the negative or low vibrational energy being physically shaken out of your body. Become aware of the tingling sensation that should start flowing through your body. That is the new higher vibrational energy beginning to flow through your body.
Immerse yourself in water
Water has healing properties for humans. Have you ever felt awful, but after having a bath or shower, you feel better? There’s a reason for that. Water can help to cleanse your body of negative emotions, thoughts and stuck energies. When you’re in the water, visualise it cleansing your body and washing away the negative energies.
Earth yourself
Earthing or grounding is the practice of placing your bare feet or body onto the Earth and drawing on the energetic field of the Earth. We’re meant to connect with the Earth, but due to modern footwear design, this has become less common. Try to spend at least 10 minutes a day with your feet in direct contact with the Earth. With your feet on the floor, take a deep breath in, and visualise yourself drawing the energy of the Earth up through your feet. Feel the new energy filling every inch of your body. As you exhale, visualise any old or stale energy releasing out of the top of your head. If you don’t have time to connect with the Earth in this way, you could buy an earthing mat.

Beware of Toxic Positivity
A quick note on toxic positivity. Toxic positivity is the belief that you must always keep your vibration high. Otherwise, you’ll start attracting unwanted people or circumstances into your life. Although it is true that a low vibration will attract other things of a low vibration, it’s okay to feel low now and then. In fact, it’s a necessity.
As humans, we’re here on this Earth for the Human Experience. That experience encompasses the full range of human emotions. We are here to feel, learn, and grow both spiritually, physically and mentally. I find it helps to think of Earth as a school. It’s a place for souls to have a human experience to learn and grow. We’re meant to feel happy; we’re also meant to feel sad. Anyone who subscribes to the good vibes-only lifestyle is denying themselves a chance to truly grow and learn.
We’re here to feel the full spectrum of human emotions; that’s the whole point. The more we can learn to acknowledge and sit with our emotions, the more rich and full our lives become. You may have heard of the Dark Night of the Soul. That is a key component of human growth. Sometimes we have to go into our deep dark depths and then rise like the phoenix from the ashes in order to break free. It’s not always pleasant, but it’s impossible to grow without going there.
The key, however, is not to get stuck in the low vibrations. If you feel low, sad or depressed, feel it with every fibre of your being. Go deep into that emotion, cry, scream, punch a pillow, do whatever it is you need to do to feel that emotion to the full, but then, in the words of Elsa, let it go. You must release the vibration.
