In life, it is human nature to want to feel a connection. Not only because of the feeling itself but to feel connected to people, to be a part of something. Even feel-good connections tied to objects and memories are important. It is essential for your well-being, mental health and your spirit.
Everyone is connected in some way, but you may lose that connection as you journey through life. So what happens when you feel disconnected from yourself, family, friends, society etc., and how do you reconnect?
The best thing to do is find out why. Sometimes just talking to a partner or friend may help. You may need outside assistance, such as a therapist. Or you may want to address what’s happening in the mind, body, soul, and energy by experiencing a session with an energy healer/practitioner.
Healing firstly helps you connect with yourself and your intuition. The most common feeling that the majority of my clients feel is either numb or disconnected. This is due to many factors, such as traumas and experiences that are hard to face, abuse, or cultural conditioning, to name a few. Avoidance is the most prevalent behaviour for those who feel disconnected. Whether a significant or repetitive issue that compounds, both can cause the same physical and emotional effect.
The key to Healing is getting you to connect to the emotions and experiences that you would rather avoid. Pain, anger, sorrow and grief are not pleasant emotions, so many avoid them.
When you are aware of this and consciously ‘go there’, you can truly release and heal from it. There are different ways to do this. For example, as a Healer, I can tune in to what the person needs and how best to achieve the outcome that benefits them the most. For some, it may be the gentle approach of Reiki with hands-on healing, spiritual guidance (for the highest good of the person’s spirit), conversations and allowing the release of blocks and emotions to occur.
Forensic Healing can also be an incredible way to facilitate Healing, using relevant information about the issue and gentle conversation to stimulate the healing pathway. More intensity can then be added in role-playing or guiding a person’s anger and having a pillow punching session.
I have been through all these methods as a client, and let me tell you, they work! It can be uncomfortable, intimidating and confrontational, but sometimes that’s what is needed to connect. As a Healing practitioner, I guide many of my clients through this process, with outstanding results that allow them to move forward. The main objective is to get them to connect, for, without connection, there is no full release and letting go.
By doing this healing process, they clear the negative blocks and can now become more aware of their feelings as they begin to connect and look at themselves with a clearer and new perspective.
Healing times vary considerably. For some people, it may be a couple of sessions, numerous sessions or a healing process over many years, depending on the severity of each individual’s traumas, release, and integration process as they move forward.
So what about the person who has been on a healing journey for a few years?
Well, after years of Healing, your alignment, intuition, and awareness are much more expanded. A certain level of trust is built by Healing and clearing many different layers, changing and integrating many new things. You see, you change from within and then follow with what’s outside of you. By building a more solid relationship and awareness of yourself, you then develop a more mindful approach to the many decisions in your life and what you need.
You don’t just think that certain choices, people and things are right for you; you feel it on a deeper level and trust enough to go with it. Why? Because it feels right and in alignment with your soul. By this stage, you have built a trust in yourself that if things were to go a little pear-shaped, there is something to be learnt in the process. And whilst adversities may be challenging, you are ok with this and will look for deeper meaning as to why things may have occurred the way they did.
You also develop a more balanced and calm way of approaching and dealing with things and people. I’m not saying that everything is all zen and that you don’t have moments or outbursts of frustration, arguments or other emotions. You are human, and everyone experiences various emotional states at times. But you learn to bounce back and out of that space much quicker because you understand and know that it does not serve you to linger in that state and space too long.
Generally speaking, life seems to flow much easier because you become more aligned and in tune with yourself.
For the Lightworker.
We are all lightworkers in our way. So, for this instance, my example is for those chosen to work with energy and intuition as a career. For you, all of the above connections are magnified and intensified.
There are always sub-levels amongst these levels, so some of you may be more invested than others. But generally speaking, you have a deeper understanding and respect for your connection. You lead your life by going within, checking in and always making your decisions and essential life choices from that place of intuition. You have an expanded awareness of the interconnection with everything and everyone in your life because you understand that everything holds energy and has its vibration.
You are aware that your life reflects your thoughts and vibe. One of the questions I always ask myself is, ‘What do I want to grow?’ and feed that thought. You understand that you always have a choice. So when things are not going in a positive direction, you go within your inner GPS for some guidance to align and redirect if necessary. You reflect and question a lot, always looking and trusting the answers within yourself.
You know you are connected to everything, therefore, being one with everything. There are levels to this too. I went for a walk recently. Although I understand that energy transcends all time and space, which leads us to all be connected with everything, even outside our vision, I had an amazingly beautiful experience walking amongst nature and feeling of unity with the Universe and everything in it as I had never felt before. I felt so united with everything. So much love! I understand what it means when I hear the phrase – We are One.
In life, there are layers to everything. For those feeling lost, the most important thing is to start connecting, even at your own pace in your own time, but do it. It is essential not to compare yourself and your journey to others. Everyone’s blueprint life is different, so it doesn’t matter which side of the ‘connection’ scale you’re at, keep Healing, growing and connecting at your own pace.
