Building a relationship with plants can involve so much more than just looking at them, smelling them, eating them and saying thank you; although thanking them is a great place to start. Plants are the record keepers of this planet. They have evolved and grown over the millennia this planet has been living. It makes sense that if we wish to get to know them, to connect with them and learn from them on a deeper level; then we need to work on building a relationship with them. This allows us to have a different perspective on the plant kingdom. It is no longer a one-sided use, but a two-way friendship.
I invite you to take a walk out in nature today and notice a plant that calls out to you, catches your eye or surprises you. Be mindful as you stroll through nature. This will open you up to receiving connection with a plant that wants to work with you. Did you know that some plants may not want to work with you? But there are certain plants you may have an affinity with. There are some that you may have no connection with, and may not want to have a connection with you – and that’s okay.
You will feel when a plant is calling you, when it wants to work with you. A knowing will open up within you. You will feel the pull, the call, the connection. You will be drawn to it, and often it to you. The next step is to ask the plant for permission to work with it. Ask if it would like to build a friendship with you. Once that happens, you can begin the wonderful process of getting to know that plant in all its facets. Not just its physical uses, but emotional and energetic uses too.
Message from the Geranium Spirit
I will open your heart to receiving. I bring through the energy of an open heart, connection, and energetic expansion. I wish to share my message of the beauty of an open heart. When your heart is open, you are open to life itself. You are no longer pushing against the tide, pushing against that invisible wall of life being “hard.” Instead, you are in communion with all life—with all beings that have life. Life becomes spirited.
When your heart begins to open and unfurl – just like the petals of the flowers do in the springtime, a connection to all things begins to open. That can come as a deepening of connection to oneself, friends, family, people, animals, spirit or plants. But once the doors open to feeling connected, it will bless every area of your life with this truth.
I can help you connect to your heart and connect to yourself, and I want to remind you of the beauty that is possible if you open yourself up to these possibilities. I want to remind you that you don’t have to go through life alone. You are worthy of love, you are worthy of connection, you are worthy of support. I am here with you. If these words touch you deep within your bones, within your soul, then I am ready to connect with you. And support you in the beautiful process of unfurling the petals of your heart.
We can do this together and watch your energy expand and your life shift, grow and change, as your fresh heart energy blesses every area of yourself and your life with your love. Don’t underestimate the level of healing the flower kingdom can support you with, as we are beautiful, both inside and out. And so are you.
Kinesiology – Acupressure
Apply me on your Heart 6 point – located on the outside edge of the wrist, 1cm up your arm from your wrist crease. I can help your heart to feel soothed and safe to open, even if it is hurting right now. Working with this point can help to soothe, nurture and heal any heart pain, fright or overthought. This point can help us connect to deeper self-love, self-acceptance, and can support us in being our authentic self and calming the mind.
Ritual
With a couple of geranium flowers, take each petal off the flowers 1 by 1 and place it on a small plate, intuitively creating a pattern. With each petal you place on the plate, say out loud something that you love about yourself. Keep this plate somewhere near you, such as your bedside table, to be reminded of the love that you have for yourself. This will help to open your heart. When the petals are dry or dead, give them back to the earth with love and kindness.
