The word “Clairvoyance” has a French origin, combining two words meaning “clear” and “vision/seeing”.
Clairvoyance is a psychic skill that can see beyond our senses and tap into messages and information through our mind’s eye. Those with clairvoyant abilities can sometimes see colours, images, visions, dreams, and symbols that they interpret as messages. Learning how to understand the visuals you clairvoyantly receive is part of opening yourself to receive potential messages. You can interpret clairvoyant images literally, or abstract images and symbols may require an intuitive interpretation to deepen your understanding.
Contrary to popular belief, clairvoyance is not simply about predicting the future. It can help people find answers to life’s present challenges that their conscious mind cannot see.
Clairvoyance is just one of the Clair senses because there are other ways we can communicate with the spirit world and tap into our psychic and intuitive abilities (we will discuss the other Clair senses in future issues). Learning to open your mind and receive clairvoyant images and messages enables you to explore a richer and more colourful world, helping you find answers and give you the confidence to find your true path.

Meditation
Meditation creates a quiet space where you can open your mind’s eye to receive visual messages. When you are deep in meditation, ask your higher self or Spirit to deliver visual messages to you. The images may be clear and directly relate to the situation, or they might be more abstract and need an intuitive interpretation. By creating a regular meditation practice, you encourage clairvoyant communication with Spirit, and you will become more familiar with and understanding of the visuals you receive.
Journaling
Life can be so busy sometimes that we don’t even realise when we are receiving little messages from beyond our everyday perceptions. Dreams are a common way to receive clairvoyant messages, but we can easily forget the message if we don’t pay attention. If you have vivid dreams, it can be constructive to keep a journal and regularly document your dreams in detail. Afterwards, you can read back on your journal and specific reoccurring themes, messages, and images may suddenly be evident to you. Journaling can help turn your clairvoyant dreams into messages you understand.
Focus on the details
Spend some time each day focusing on really ‘seeing’ your environment in intricate detail. From the leaves on the ground, people’s face’s, your hands, and all the things you encounter daily. Consciously pay attention to all the details you wouldn’t usually notice. When we practice paying attention to the visual information all around us, we encourage our mind’s eye to tune into seeing spiritual images. Our mind can see a lot more than what we often imagine.
Visualise
Try closing your eyes and using your imagination to create a visual scene. Hold the image in your mind, and then fill that scene with all kinds of details. It could be decorating a Christmas tree, or painting a picture, or something entirely imaginary. The more time you focus on the details, the more you teach yourself to concentrate, remember, and see things through your mind’s eye.
Clairvoyance is one of the many psychic abilities that allow you to communicate with Spirit and connect with the knowledge contained within your soul. Learning how to use your mind’s eye to see the signs and images that are not easily apparent can help you to receive important messages that will help you.
