Before becoming a visionary transformation specialist and multidimensional channel, speaker and author, Joanna Walden had a successful career in advertising and media but constantly felt out of alignment with herself and suffered from episodes of depression. When she wasn’t working, she used drugs and alcohol to combat the disconnection she felt in herself. It wasn’t until she started studying the holistic practice of applied kinesiology that her understanding of how peoples’ thoughts and feelings affect them expanded. Slowly, Joanna realised that trying to validate who we are through the outside world is futile. To seek fundamental knowledge about ourselves, we must look within.
Joanna helps people connect to themselves using heart technology, which she describes as “the most effective and relevant tool right now”. One of the most critical aspects of coming into a closer understanding of yourself, says Joanna, is the ability to trust and believe in yourself above all other authorities in your life. When we can trust in ourselves, we encourage balance across all areas of our life.
Joanna’s work involves working with people to enter a multidimensional space, using neural programming to help them make the changes they want to see. Joanna has a deep awareness of the critical disconnection that many people feel in their lives but cannot make sense of.
She helps people reconnect to themselves more profoundly to encourage and enable a positive transformation.
Joanna shares her spiritual journey of coming into her power and mastery in her debut memoir, The Inside Hustle: A Mystical Misfit’s Travel Adventure Into The Unknown.

Kim: Who is Joanna Walden in her own words?
Joanna: I am a visionary transformation specialist and multidimensional channel, speaker and author. I have recently become a voice and video voiceover artist. I guess that’s how we like to pigeonhole ourselves in how we are showing up in the world and what we’re doing. The other side of me is just a fun-loving Kiwi girl who loves to travel and is into spirituality.
Kim: Your past contains some raw experiences; are you happy to share some of those with us?
Joanna: Yes. I wrote my transformational travel memoir, the Inside Hustle, because I wanted to be honest about sharing some of the things I went through in a really brutal way. I worked in advertising in my previous life, and I explored a lot of psychedelics and things when I was younger; I just felt like that brought my connection to the spiritual world closer. I was able to tap into other parts of myself. When I moved to New York to work in advertising, I lived the New York lifestyle. I was working 24/7, and if I wasn’t working, I was partying, drinking, and doing drugs. I was living that media life. It was fun, and my career was great. I was progressing despite all the partying in the background.
But I was having these real moments with myself because I didn’t feel like I was truly in alignment. I wanted to be working in something I was passionate about in a way that fueled my soul. I was passionate about advertising in the creative process, but it wasn’t fulfilling. So, I was having dark times and going through bouts of depression. I moved to London and was brought into production and multimedia stuff, and I thought those things would help me get more into alignment. But again, I just kept coming up against these blocks and didn’t realise how much my own inner world was affecting my outer world. I knew that I was responsible, but I just went into beating myself up about it all the time because the outer world was reflecting something I didn’t want.
So, I continued my personal journey of evolution because even though I was working in advertising, I was in the spiritual closet and running off to like weekend courses on power animals and things like that. I just started to dive deep within myself. I did things that I wasn’t proud of because I was so unhappy and myself. I can laugh about it now, and I tell some of these stories in my book. It’s quite funny the number of ridiculous incidences I got myself into when I avoided the real issues. The drugs and alcohol, I mean, it was all a disaster, and I realised that the thing was that I was in my way. Even though I was on a spiritual journey, and I was conscious and aware, I didn’t understand the fine-tuning of how my energy worked in my whole system. Then when I started studying Applied Kinesiology, I realised how much our thoughts and emotions and everything were affecting not just our physical being but also other layers because it’s such a holistic practice. You know, it’s a holistic therapy, so I started to understand on a deeper level, but I think I was seeking answers outside of myself a lot. I wasn’t trusting what I was getting because I was just in this place of doubt and fear, and I wasn’t centred on myself. I had to start stepping into a space where I was taking control of my own inner being and reality.
Kim: Obviously, you’ve been through a journey of intense self-exploration in your spiritual awakening. If you were to look back on that, what were the core ingredients, and how did you find yourself internalising them?
Joanna: There was a lot, not just one or two things. It was minor changes on many levels. Our thoughts and our belief systems are significant. You’ve got to get into a space where you can trust yourself over and above all other authority outside of yourself. We’re not all the same. There’s no one size fits all, and I don’t care whether this is for health, personal development, or career solution. We are so unique in our energy, and it takes little adjustments to our energy to understand where we are out of balance. I just started coming into this awareness that I needed to change how I was living. I was still in that mode of ‘doing’, and I shifted it to ‘being’. I was still in the manner of seeking outside of myself, and I had to shift into owning my sovereignty and my own answers.
Those are some of the key pillars that I was working with, and trust was huge. We’re conditioned into understanding a reality that is not aligned with our true self, our true nature, and that’s part of where we get tripped up. Also, this reality, how we perceive it with our physical senses, has multiple layers beyond that multidimensional array. That gets confusing when we’re in this physical experience and relying on those senses instead of our extrasensory perception. You can have an issue with someone and think it’s all about them and what they’ve done to you. When this is energy, they’re helping you recorrect that has been in your energy for lifetimes. There are always other things at play, but we seem to be in this version of reality, and it’s quite limited operating that way.
There are so many things that I’ve done to shift a huge amount, and I continue to do me every day.
The work I do with my clients, my membership, I’m walking the talk because I had to embody this process that I was going through in my evolution. It’s all fine to get it in theory. Still, if you’re not putting it into practice, if you’re not catching yourself and shifting your thoughts and changing your perception and shifting the reality, you’re not going to get that far because there’s a limit to how far that will take you.
Kim: Given all you’ve gained and learnt throughout your experience, what would your advice be to the past version of you, knowing what you know now?
Joanna: I was in that victim consciousness state, and I think you’ve got to understand and own your power. No one’s going to save you but you ultimately. We have to step up, and we have to step into our power. We have to own it for what it is. When we are going through this personal journey of evolution, we’ve got to get comfortable in the unknown.
We don’t think we have all the answers, but we do. With our divine technology residing in our heart, we have come into this life with a vast amount of knowledge. We’ve got consciousness levels that could expand exponentially with a few simple shifts and changes in how we understand and perceive the world and what we allow ourselves to shift into. Because when we are operating out of these limited structures and these accepted concepts of reality, from society, from the way you’ve grown up in your family, from your religion, from the country culture that you live in, whatever it is, it is limiting to a certain extent. But as we bust through these limitations, we realise there’s more; then, we build the confidence to experience it. But you got to dive in, even though it doesn’t make sense, even though you’re not quite sure.
Even though you’re like, “oh, I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m doing”, put one foot in front of the other and trust you are being guided to where you’re going. It’s perfect. And I think the one biggest thing that I noticed looking back is that I spent so much time believing I was off track and not knowing what I was doing. My inner GPS was guiding me perfectly, and I feel like I couldn’t have done it better.
Even though I didn’t believe it at the time, my higher dimensional guidance and wisdom were always working through me, whether I thought so or not. I think that’s really powerful.
Kim: How much of that experience contributed to the purpose you’ve stepped into now?
Joanna: I was inspired by my advertising career. I was inspired by the way we worked with brands, and we used to bust them out of the current market and audience and their current positioning and into a new one. And that was the inspiration for how I work with people now. Because I could do that on someone’s energy signature with all the things in my toolkit. Now that I have part of
my intuitive gifts, I can understand where people are tripping themselves up because I trip myself up in many different ways. So yeah, it’s incredible how that career completely inspired the formation of how I could work with people and someone’s energy signature now. I was surprised.
Kim: So, let’s talk about the work you do and your impact on the world.
Joanna: When I started to understand the quantum state and energy and refine my knowledge and wisdom, I realised I wanted to alleviate people. So now I take people from one state of being to another. It’s about helping people change because people often know they want to change, but they don’t know how to do it. So I take people through a process that gets them into the multidimensional space and the space of neural programming. It is an all-encompassing way to help someone change their state of being to shift and understand themselves better and come into the right relationship with themselves. Many people are disconnected, and then they have these experiences in their outer world and don’t realise why that is.
We are these beautiful, divine sovereign beings and multidimensional masters, and underneath it, all the wisdom and intelligence on offer. When we connect to ourselves more deeply and connect to our heart, we can transform ourselves.
All of my work is grounded in heart technology. In 2017, these giant light beings came to me in a dream, and they said Heart technology is all you need. It has only ever been about the heart, and it will only ever be about the heart. Heart technology is the most effective and relevant tool on the planet right now. And I had no idea what it meant, so it took me on this journey. I discovered the Institute of Heart Math and Heart Coherence, but I also started tapping into the multidimensional nature, which is such a huge key in the piece of the puzzle where we’re at right now. It’s a huge key in our relationship and transformation. We’re moving society into our hearts as a society, so this is relevant to everybody no matter what’s going on. People suddenly start to feel a shift of change within themselves because they’re getting real connections rather than anything on the surface. So, all of my work is based on multidimensional practices. The way I’m working now will probably evolve as I evolve over the following years. And I’m just excited to see where it goes.
Kim: You light up when you talk about your work. What are three ways you would like it to change the world?
Joanna: Firstly, people are connected to their hearts and themselves. Secondly, they can turn on their multidimensional sensors to understand the intricacies of this reality and then operate better to have more of a life of ease and grace. And thirdly, they would know themselves as the truth; this beautiful cosmic frequency of divine love has a human experience, but here for a purposeful reason. Which is to help with the evolution happening on the planet and the cosmos. That is the bigger picture, and we all have a golden ticket to be here. So if we understand that, get out of the judgment, blame and how we’ve been conditioned to understand this reality, I think we are all in such a better place.
Kim: Do you have any tips and tricks for readers to help them avoid the pitfalls of their spiritual awakening?
Joanna: Yes, I do. I address a little bit of this in my book because I’m just going to read the first line from the last chapter of my book, Opening the Door to the New Humanity.
“Manifestation is a bunch of arse. The guru is dead. Your ego is your amigo. Our mind is a divine instrument. And we are all masters.”
There’s a lot of outdated stuff that has been beneficial at certain points in the spiritual community and in consciousness and understanding. As with everything, it evolves, right. So we’ve got to be open that some of that is limiting now. So I think that’s the best thing I could say because I got into that trap, and that’s why I wrote my book. I didn’t want other people to be blindly in a space that goes nowhere sometimes.
As part of these new times and new energy on the planet, we are stepping into our mastery.
That is what I help people do. Because when you’re in your mastery, you have a handle on your reality, and you’re embodying the most magnificent light you can be on this planet. That is the most impactful way to show up right now because we’re here to hold the frequency of our highest order. So many of those old spiritual paradigm ideas and understanding and rules are outdated and need to go.

Kim: Last question Joanna, What is your fierce truth?
Joanna: My truth is that we are all masters, and we’ve forgotten who we truly are. We came here because that’s who we are. And we came here to help with a consciousness shift on the planet. And the setup of this reality is confusing, I admit. But I want people to know that when they can step into an empowered state of being within themselves, their lives will change. Absolutely, and this mastery is so exciting. It’s got so many facets and aspects once you start cracking it open within.
