Before you begin the spiritual journey, you are constantly learning, observing, being conditioned, and programmed to be and live a certain way. Beliefs are also formed that support the way you believe life is meant to be lived and even the order in the sequence of events that need to take place in life.
You are constantly observing, being stimulated by family, friends, social media and influencers, idols, television, radio, advertising, and absorbing your environment. So, really, who are you? Is everything you have been exposed to really your reality and the life you want to live? Or are you living a life that you believe you want, but it is not what your soul truly desires deep down? Are you numb to your soul’s voice? Are you living on autopilot? Or have you succumbed to the fact that this is what life is, even though you don’t feel one hundred per cent happy or fulfilled? This could be one aspect of your life, such as work, relationships, etcetera, or your whole life!
But there will come a time when something happens. It could be an event, a conversation, an observation, physical pain, illness, or you may witness something. It could be a feeling, a nudge, a realization, or just something that triggers something in you on a different level. Or it can simply hit you right between the eyes, and you never even saw it coming!
So, what do you do?
You begin looking for information or answers about why you feel this discomfort or a sudden discontent, sadness, or void. You may search with curiosity or desperation as to what can alleviate this feeling or expand on this newfound awareness.
Often, this jolt is what is needed to awaken something in you, to shake you up, as the subtlety of your intuition and other signs may have been ignored for far too long, making you oblivious to what is going on beneath the surface. This is how many of you begin or have begun the journey of self-discovery. And it can happen countless times, repeatedly, with each new layer of awareness that connects you deeper to your soul. Why does this happen?
Trust is required in your intuition and guidance as to where you are being led. If you listen to yourself closely enough, you will know when you have found the right person to assist you on your spiritual journey.
Together, you will discover and face your difficult and dark times. You are delving into parts and circumstances in your life that have been ignored and neglected or too hard to deal with until this point. It can be scary for you. It is unknown what will come up or occur during healing, and that is okay.
You need to know that it is an honoured space for you both, and sacred space is held for you, your story, and your emotions. One must reserve judgment to allow whatever healing needs to occur and any emotion to be released. Different areas of your life and relationships will be addressed and always be for your highest good.
This will be your journey, and you will address things in your own time because the Universe always has Divine timing, and the healer is not a timekeeper. They are there to assist and guide you when you need them. This is about you.
It can take you down unsuspecting and winding roads or painful, familiar ones. No matter which route you are on, it will be travelled and left behind. At times you may see it in the rear-view mirror, but the more you commit to healing yourself, the further you will move forward until it is only but a memory with new emotions attached to it as you understand why things have played out the way they did.
You will learn how to rewrite your story, give new meaning to your experiences, and let go of those that disempowered you. You will create new ones that serve you and become your strength and wisdom.
You will learn how to move forward by creating your own path in life—doing what feels right for you whilst undoing, shedding, discovering yourself, breaking cycles, healing, unlearning, learning, growing, and evolving consciously.
And although you will all lead different lives and have unique experiences and be in the same or various parts of the world, there is one end goal. It is to live connected to your heart space of love, kindness, compassion, and unity. Not only for yourselves but most importantly for humanity, as we are all journeying together, just on different routes and learning to dance to the beat of our own drum while rising to the summit.
