Surprisingly for some, yet true nonetheless, we have an innate power within us that, if used for the powers of good, can contribute to world change. But that change needs to begin within. So while consciously tapping into the power of the collective consciousness can help shape the world from a place of unity, we should first tap in to help shape our inner world.
Yep, that’s right; you have the power to create change inside and out in ways that you may not even be aware of. And that makes you an integral part of not only the human race but of the whole existence of universal life.
But first, what is collective consciousness?
You, I, your neighbour, your brother, your sister, parents, friends, enemies even, all of us, are part of the same whole. Just like cells in our body, we function separately, individually in the way we each do life, and also together at the core of who we are as spiritual beings, unconsciously connected in unison. Sharing profound cosmic knowledge, existing and continuing to exist, far longer than humanity will – for eternity.
This means we are part of one whole and have all the same inner knowing, our thoughts and feelings existing on a frequency accessible to all minds and souls, with and without a physical body. This is why similar thoughts, ideas, and inspiration occur between people who have never met. They are transferred throughout the collective consciousness and picked up by more than one person. We are also impacted and influenced by the collective consciousness, an awareness I believe many awakened and awakening people have. Less spoken about, though, is how we, as individual consciousnesses, can also influence and impact the collective. Because every thought we have, good or bad, can impact humanity.
So you have the power, collectively and individually, to contribute to making the world better or worse. Depending on the far-reaching energetic vibrations you choose to send out to the world at any given time. Like a tiny pebble, unassumingly alone, it will cause larger ripples that permeate a body of water when thrown. Or, in the nature of vibration, energy and consciousness – what you focus on, you receive like energy back.
So what is it that you want to receive? And what impact do you want to create?
If you transmit higher vibrational energies of love, gratitude, joy and peace to the world, not only will that energy permeate the collective as a whole, helping to heal the world at a universal level. You will also receive that energy back, which will be evident in what nature of experiences show up in your life.
Transmit love; you receive love.
Transmit gratitude; you receive more to be grateful for.
Transmit joy; you become surrounded by joy.
Transmit peace; your heart lives in peace.
The flip side is, that if you transmit low vibrational energies of fear, hate, judgement and disharmony to the world, not only will that energy permeate the collective as a whole, contributing to a more hostile world. You will also receive that energy back, which will be evident in what nature of experiences show up in your life.
Transmit fear; you live in fear.
Transmit hate; you only see hate.
Transmit judgement; you will feel judged.
Transmit disharmony; you will live without peace in your heart.
So, which do you choose?
With that awareness fresh in your mind, now is an excellent time to check in with yourself. Are you conscious of what you are transmitting out into the world? How is what energy you are putting out showing up in your life in return?
Are there changes you desire to see in how you show up? In your thoughts? In your actions? In the way, you are choosing to be?
If you are having trouble deciding whether or not changes need to happen in your life. I will make it even simpler.
Are you happy, or not?
Do you live in joy, or not?
Is your heart at peace, or not?
If any of the answers above are not what you’d hope them to be, perhaps it is time for you to become a magnet for all the good things and feelings you want showing up in your life instead. Not to mention the benefits that will have on the collective consciousness.
Because ultimately, it is better to be a part of the change. Then sit on the sidelines and hope for things to change for you (and the world) without any effort. Well, what if I told you there was a relatively easy way to make a start?
Meditate. Meditate. Meditate.
There is a reason why group meditations worldwide have become more common as humanity continues to awaken. When energy is magnified by the coming together of many singularly focused people, the ripples of their intent will be felt within the collective consciousness. Imagine all that power and intention consciously uniting? When people come together in this way, they act as conductors for energy, connected not to just each other but the energy that collectively connects us to the universe as a whole being. It is believed energy radiating positive vibrations of love, peace, and harmony, can be experienced thousands of miles away.
Taking up a daily meditation practice of meditation is the fastest way to get yourself into alignment with the collective consciousness and magnify your intentions and energy. As you tap into your innate power and focus your intent on higher vibrational states such as peace, love, joy and healing, you will naturally and instinctively become a more joyful being (person).
You won’t only make a difference in your own life but also in the lives of those you are close to. Then, just like the pebble I mentioned above, your ripple of positive vibes will be sent out into the collective consciousness. In turn, you’ll do your bit to co-create and shape a better internal (for yourself) and external (for humanity) world.
To make a positive and uplifting vibrational effect on the collect consciousness, and at the same time, on your own life, you must be aware that if we bring existing thoughts and feelings from trauma, old programming etc., this can add negativity instead. You are then storing it there for someone else to be perhaps impacted by.
So before consciously tuning into the collective conscious, clearing our energy first and filling ourselves with light, joy and positivity are essential. This is not about avoiding what you may be going through if you are having a tough time; it is about choosing what ‘state’ you allow yourself to tune in to the collective with and what you choose to contribute to humanity.
Otherwise, whatever energy you carry from your wounds will be transferred to whoever we bring our healing to – individually or collectively.
Take time to heal yourself or attain a state of high vibrational frequency first. This will automatically get your soul into a place of alignment with the intent of outwardly contributing to healing the collective greater good.
Not to mention, there is a limitless resource of knowledge and wisdom stored within the collective consciousness that we can always access. The ability to tune into collective consciousness can help us find the answers in life we seek, especially if we feel challenged with this whole human experience.
Okay, so how do we tap in?
We are always connected to the collective. It is simply a natural way of being for us. Making it a conscious connection, though, while easy, may take a little patience, practice and most importantly, trust. However, taking the time you need to build this skill will give you results.
- Find a comfortable place to sit, cross-legged preferably, with your back straight and hands at your heart centre with middle fingers pointing upwards and fingertips touching lightly.
- Allow your thoughts to come and go naturally, not allowing yourself to become fixated on any singular thought. Let deep inhale and exhale breaths allow the body and mind to relax.
- Once your mind and body have slowed and any persisting thoughts have dissipated, focus your intent on what you want to know from a place of universal wisdom (not personal, those answers will happen instinctively).
- When you believe you have received a response from the collective, allow that knowledge to settle in the mind for a few moments.
- Observe any emotions or thoughts connected to the response. Make sure that the answer has come to us void of our interpretation or triggered reaction. If it has, start this process again. This time, clear your mind of any personal thoughts and feelings associated with the questions you seek answers to.
- When you are comfortable that you have received a response from a source outside of yourself, meditate on it and allow yourself to recognise how that answer also represents your life and way of being. In turn, you are helping yourself to better your inner world.
- Give Thanks to the collective consciousness for the message and support, and spend a moment in gratitude and love, allowing that energy to fill you to overflowing before rippling out into the universe.
- And if you don’t have time to meditate? Ask your unconscious mind to search for the answer you seek whilst you sleep. You will most likely wake up with the solution on your mind.
Tuning into the collective consciousness for personal growth, life change, and to aid humanity is a practice used by and for people for as long as we have inhabited the planet.
By being open to this phenomenon that is our birthright, we can live our life continuously connected to this source of wisdom. Giving us the resources to always access the answers we need to help ourselves and help shape our world towards a brighter future for all.
