I’ve come across so many messages and encouraging words for women these days; be your best self, learn to let go, and embrace your imperfections. These are all needed as we, ladies, tend to starve our souls caring for everyone but ourselves. So my message to all women is to learn to fall deeply in love with yourself. Why, you may ask? Think about it when you last looked in the mirror and didn’t beat yourself up about the crow’s feet, thinning hair, or the extra pounds around your midsection? This battle has become a part of our evening and morning routine; tiredly, we throw ourselves together as we slap lunches together to rush everyone out the door, don’t forget your presentation is today at 10 am.
We have become what others want us to be.
We have become the identity everyone needs, lost the battle, and have no idea who the woman is staring back at us in the mirror. I can’t exclaim this message enough Learn to fall in love with yourself. The pile of laundry can wait, hell, leftovers are just fine for dinner – grab a journal and lock that bedroom door, and for thirty minutes, dig deep into your soul and begin to bring the pieces of yourself back together. When we can hold compassion for ourselves and learn to tap into forgiveness for ourselves, for the neglect, and negative self-talk, we begin to step into the energy of loving ourselves.
The woman you were 20 years ago may be mature, with kids, married, or divorced, however, she’s not gone. She’s wiser than ever before. Tap into the new season of the wise sage woman and embrace the love for yourself because we as women are beyond magical and mysterious; after all, God chose us to be the giver of life. That in itself is so powerful; this has simply been lost over the past few hundred generations. We instead began to groom women into the ideal that we can be everything, which is fantastic; however, in the meantime, it has pulled us away from the spiritual part of what it means to be a woman.
Your spiritual gifts will open you up to loving yourself even more.
As you explore who you are and what you crave the most. Connect to your higher self through meditation, and start your healing journey through therapy, Reiki, and other healing modalities. These all will help open up your chakras, release what I call the gunk, and begin breathing in that beautiful golden creator light. Falling in love with yourself means healthy boundaries, more self-care, detachment-style relationships, and learning to be alone – it’s okay to be alone. Go rogue for a while if you can. I once met a woman who lived off the grid for two years – fully shed every lousy relationship, dis-ease, and discovered the truth to all of us. We are soul beings having a human experience, and at the end of all the systematic b.s, there’s a deep layer in all of us. It’s pure, unconditional love for yourself and everyone else.
This is the magical peace of emotional freedom and self-discovery that’s been torn from us.
