It’s no secret that we live in a world that is vastly different to what it was just a few years ago. We’ve been shaken up, pushed to our edges and in many ways, made to feel as though we are living our own version of the latest (badly made) sci-fi TV show. What is really going on though?
Could there perhaps be more to what is unfolding globally? A bigger picture, perhaps, that, if understood, could help us find the answers we need to navigate and build a better world without the fear agenda we are currently surrounded by? To answer some of those questions, we interviewed consciousness expert Brendan D. Murphy, who, through his work, has blown minds and changed lives around the world.
He is the author of the epic masterpiece, “The Grand Illusion: A Synthesis of Science and Spirituality – Book 1,” and co-founder of the censorship-free Facebook alternative – Trooth.network.
Brendan’s work is designed to push humanity and civilisation to greater consciousness, freedom, and health. He does this mainly through his writings, his podcast, and his DNA-activation and sound-healing work.
So, let’s see what he has to say. Is humanity in the midst of a revolution or evolution?
“Life will give you whatever experience is the most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.” – Author unknown
Kim: Brendan, there’s a lot going on in the world right now. If we remove ourselves from the details, as an expert in consciousness, what do you believe the bigger picture is?
Brendan: There are a lot of factors, but basically humanity appears to be completing an epoch and we (and our solar system) are transitioning out of the age of Pisces and into Aquarius. This means the established structures of thought and modes of being have to break down to make way for new ones to replace them. Thus, even though one could argue we are entering into a new phase of humanity’s evolution, it’s a double-sided coin: there is a death/dying process (or death spiral) which looks a lot like a devolution into mass-psychosis, conformity, authoritarianism, stupidity and irrationalism, running contemporaneously with the evolutionary impulse. Which has many humans moving out of old paradigms of domination, fear, survival, and control, and into a higher octave of beingness. But this is only a small part of the “bigger picture”—how big is “big” when we live in infinity and will explore beingness eternally in endless different forms?
It’s worth mentioning, at least in passing, that the last two years has witnessed the largest wealth transfer in HISTORY from the masses to the coffers of the ultra-rich-and-powerful. This is actually by design, and part of the so-called Great Reset. I can only wonder how humanity will choose to grapple with what is unfolding with its current tendency towards denial. We are basically teenagers at best, in spiritual terms, and have a long way to go. The “shift of the ages” astrologically offers electromagnetic seed conditions/opportunities for many millions of us to enter consciously into the current “healing crisis” we’re in and choose to heal and grow with conscious intent.
This has not happened in our known history, and is only possible now because of the interconnectedness afforded by the internet and emerging technologies. This is perhaps humanity awkwardly riding the “fractal timewave” into its next phase of evolution where we stop kidding ourselves that we’re caterpillars and admit that, in truth, we’re transcendent cosmic butterflies.
Kim: Has the upheaval been triggered by a shift in collective consciousness? Or has the shift in collective consciousness triggered the upheaval?
Brendan: The collective consciousness is swimming in a background electromagnetic cosmic soup, particularly the local interstellar medium. As electromagnetic beings there’s no escaping the influence it has on us, our physiology, genetic expression, and therefore psychology. For instance, years ago Valerie Hunt ran experiments (which I covered in my first book The Grand Illusion) which involved placing volunteers into rooms in which the background electromagnetic field could be entirely filtered out (“switched off”). People became inexplicably emotional, suddenly breaking down and crying, feeling disoriented, etc. So the environmental factors – even on a cosmic scale – influence the expression/s of humanity’s consciousness. This is actually well established scientifically speaking from numerous angles. Radio waves and x-rays (and other frequencies) emitted by stellar bodies—and importantly, the galactic centre—affect human behaviour. Solar activity (for example, flares) influences human thought and behaviour. This isn’t debatable if you’ve done your homework. And groups of people focused in meditation can influence exponentially larger groups of people in positive ways (the Maharishi effect), while at the same time the Global Consciousness Project has shown massfocused-attention on specific emotionally charged events actually creates measurable levels of order or coherence at the quantum level (as measured by quantum number generators). So we’re part of a feedback loop where various non planetary (and local planetary) factors influence the collective expression of human consciousness, and human consciousness interacts with itself (the collective) to create and modify subsequent expressions. We are co-authoring ourselves in collaboration with the cosmos.
The flip side of awakening is the simultaneous resistance in the collective consciousness (or unconscious) to remain asleep and entranced. Thus, any tendency towards rising up will be met with an equally strong suppressive impulse trying to prevent its expression.

The fact that earth’s magnetic field is shifting significantly and the magnetic poles are actually physically relocating (one is moving at an unprecedented rate) hints that something profound is happening in our solar system and galaxy, and symptoms are showing on earth. We shouldn’t pretend to be unaffected by these types of powerful changes. There’s nothing we can do to stop it either. (By the way, earth’s climate patterns are controlled by “extraterrestrial” factors too.)
Kim: So, are we in a revolution or evolution or a bit of both?
Brendan: It’s both. History seems to be cyclical with nearidentical conditions and similar events repeating across centuries and millennia, so that’s the revolution aspect, however, as time and space are fundamentally holographic and, more to the point, fractal in nature, the conditions aren’t necessarily identical across time, only similar. The purpose is partly to offer opportunities for growth. In a “karmic” sense there are even opportunities for entire countries and civilisations to “right ancient wrongs” so to speak, and make a different choice under near-identical conditions to the past.
At the same time the more things change the more they seem to stay the same. Are we really learning anything consciously? It doesn’t seem that way most of the time, at least not at a mass-level, collectively. In saying that, the evolutionary impulse is pushing more and more people to snap out of their programmed trances and mass-formed stupor and start asking questions and letting go of established beliefs in search of something that serves expansion, awareness, and empowerment.
As I said previously though, there’s two sides to the coin: as unconscious people sense their peers around them breaking free of the chains that they still embrace, even if unconsciously, it triggers them into fear and hostility. They feel threatened egoically, as if their identity is being impugned. Crabs in a bucket see one crab trying to climb out and immediately work together to pull the rebel back in. “Misery loves company,” as they say. On a systemic level, we see the System becoming increasingly hostile and violent towards dissidents and non-conformists who will not simply shut up and toe the line. This is perhaps the manifesting neurosis of a society that subconsciously senses its impending paradigmatic doom. “How dare you not believe as we believe?! Blasphemer! Burn the witch!” e may have to witness the current devolutionary phase reach even lower ebbs in order to pinch more people into waking up and reclaiming their minds and lives.
Kim: Do you believe this is a must for humanity’s evolution?
Brendan: We simply cannot afford to stay as blind, ignorant, and manipulated as we have been. There is so much available to us potentially, in the grand scheme of things. We are “spirit” first and foremost, and ever more. At the very least, we have to grow enough to develop internal compasses that move us to be self-determined, instead of externally referenced and programmed by other entities or institutions who may not be operating in our best interests. That’s the BARE MINIMUM we need to achieve. We should aim a lot higher though, which is what my books are about.
Kim: Where do you believe this is going?
Brendan: There’s enormous potential for “good” outcomes and also for some highly unpleasant timelines. Think Orwell’s 1984 on steroids, with a pinch of The Terminator. Many believe we’re on a “positive” timeline. I’m less optimistic most of the time, but that doesn’t mean I give up on life—quite the opposite. I find it interesting that hypnotherapist Dr Brian Weiss has performed many group hypnosis “progressions” (as opposed to a regression) into possible futures, and one of the themes that emerged was the perceived possibility/likelihood of humanity entering into a new Dark Age over the next two or three centuries. Personally, I find this easy to believe. On the positive side, about a thousand years or so down the track, things brighten up considerably and we establish a peaceful, harmonious existence with ourselves and the planet.
These are just possibilities perceived in the moment by specific groups of people functioning as a group—variables can of course…vary, and this material shouldn’t be taken as gospel. The point of much prophecy is to warn us away from self-destruction, after all, not to simply try to predict the future. It’s not about being right—I hope it’s very much wrong in this instance. The issue is NOT that humanity cannot have a bright future, it’s seems more like it just cannot get out of its own way to achieve that. No one hopes more than me that I’m proved wrong on that over the next decade.
Kim: As sovereign beings, how can we best prepare for this changing world individually and as a collective?
Brendan: Shadow work. Do your inner work. It’s the stuff that doesn’t feel great, doesn’t make for sexy social media posts, and isn’t the slightest bit glamorous. No one will talk about it on the evening news, and most of the popular “guru” figures in the alternative or counter-culture movement barely pay it lip service most of the time. If the past 2 years have shown us anything, it’s that most people exist in delusional and dissociative trance states programmed by “authorities” as a result of not turning inwards and doing the “dirty work” of healing, integrating disowned parts of themselves and their traumas, and
developing an internal guidance system and connection to their inner knowing and soul.
Overall, the people who’ve been the most scared over the past two years are those who have done the least of this inner work —they prefer the many abundant distractions that carry them away from reality to a fantasy world where they need not be responsible for themselves, their health, their choices and the consequences—better to make the government or someone else responsible and outsource one’s own mind and morality to the Corporatocracy. I see this in abundance every single day: people not taking ownership of their own minds, but letting someone else do the steering for them. That way you can always point the finger at someone else when things don’t go your way. These types of people love a convenient scapegoat. Socially and collectively, this is extremely dangerous to indulge in. Just ask anyone who was burned as a witch in the Salem “Witch Trials” of 1692-’93, or during the Church’s Inquisition of the Middle Ages, or anyone who spent time in a concentration camp under Stalin (and there were millions of them), or… you get the idea.
The tendency of scared people to unconsciously project their fears out into the world and onto whatever is conveniently provided for them as a focal point is largely the result of not having done the “inner work.” Despotic regimes can play such people (the masses) like a fiddle. It’s easy.
Kim: Last question, what is your fierce truth?
Brendan: I am infinity, all that exists and can exist. I am owned by no one and nothing outside of myself and I will not submit and live as a pawn in someone else’s sociopathic control system. I’m responsible for my own choices and my own health, and I cannot make anyone else responsible for either—that would be infantile. I subscribe to the immortal advice, “Know thyself.” The better you know yourself the better you can know anyone you encounter. We’re all just different manifestations of the “One Big Fractal in the Sky” at the end of the day.
I’m responsible for my own choices and my own health, and I cannot make anyone else responsible for either—that would be infantile.
