Grandmother: A Poem

by Jen Holly
22nd February 2022
in Poetry
Reading Time: 1 min read
old woman smiling into distance, weathered hands, black blurred background

Your memories are not mine to keep
Your hands were never within my reach
You will never hold me when I weep
Yet — I feel you with me

Grandmother, my heart is in your keep
I know in time we will meet
You’re the angel with a window seat
You live within my breath and heartbeat
