“I had this deep knowing that I was creating something really special.”
Scott: Can I start by asking you, “Who is Kim Bleeze? What is she about?”
Kim: That is a hard question. I am so used to being the one asking this; it’s different when the shoe is on the other foot! I think first I am a mother, then a creative, and of course, a medium and psychic. I am a woman who has a deep love for spirit and Mother Earth, and is committed to living a life in service. I am doing my little bit to help humanity heal and raise consciousness as we go through such a profound change on the planet. I also have a gypsy heart and love nothing better than sinking my feet into the earth and especially the ocean. The simple things in life are what really lights my heart.
Of course, now I have the magazine, which also makes me a publisher. It has been a bit of a strange and unexpected journey for me.
“It can be challenging to get an article published or to get an interview if you’re out there doing great things. I want to create opportunities for people to do that.”
Scott: What lights you up about your life, and who you are choosing to be?
Kim: LOVE lights me up. I am someone who loves deeply. My children, my work, my family, my soul family, my soul’s calling. My heart does this little thing when I hug people I have a really deep connection with – I have a little heart-orgasm. It’s great, I love when that happens, it’s so powerful. Then I think the one thing I really love about who I am choosing to be, is my craving to ignite more love in the world by awakening people to their fierce truth.

Scott: You started an incredible journey of starting a spiritual magazine and media company a year ago. Can you tell us what started that journey?
Kim: Randomly! I really didn’t see it coming at the time, but once it dropped in it made sense. I was at a crossroads with my business and career. I could feel a shift needed to happen, and in some ways it had already started to show up in my work. Then I had a mutual psychic reading with a soul sister of mine, and she said to me, “I can see you speaking on a stage, and I think you are talking about a magazine, your magazine”.
It was like a lightning bolt hit me, and I knew right then what I had to do. I think I was awake most of that night, and by the time I went to sleep I had the first magazine issue mapped out. I just couldn’t stop. I knew what articles, who to interview, who to ask to jump on board as regular contributors. Everything just flowed, it was an incredible moment of clarity. From there I haven’t turned back. I’ve had doubts, sure, and many of them. But I haven’t turned back. There is just no other direction than forward with it.
Scott: What were you setting out to do when you started the mag?
Kim: To combine spiritual teaching and development because I believe it is so important. And to give people a voice to share their soul’s message with the world, their real and their raw.
Scott: What is your vision for Fierce Truths Magazine?
Kim: I have massive vision for the magazine and my publishing company. Think Mind Valley, Foundr and Hay House. I have always seen us as a combination of all of them. We are about to launch our podcast alongside our 1st birthday; we have programs, courses and events coming. And I want to move into book publishing also. I actually just made a commitment to myself to publish our first book before our next birthday. And the moment I said it, it felt really right. So I have no doubt I’ll make it happen.
This has never just been about the magazine.
Scott: What makes it different to other magazines?
Kim: I think there is still a while to go before we really achieve what I want the magazine to convey, especially with our messaging. In many ways we are still finding our voice. Ultimately, though, I have a passion to help people be seen and share their own unique voices. It can be challenging to get an article published, or to get an interview if you’re out there doing great things. I want to create opportunities for people to do that. And to give people a resourceful place they can visit to get high-quality spiritual wisdom, and content to help them to develop as humans and souls. But keeping it real and raw at the same time.
Vulnerability is a strength, and I want our readers to know that and to see it show up in our magazine. So we are a combination of all that. And I think that is what makes us different to what is out there currently.
Scott: Talk about the hurdles you have overcome in starting the mag. Was there anything that you had to overcome personally to really step and shine as you did?
Kim: So many things! I am and always will be my own worst enemy if I let myself be. In seriousness though, it was more of my health that was a hurdle for me. I hurt my back just after I started working on the first issue. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, barely able to move, yet I’d made a commitment, so I had no choice but to keep going. I was taking heavy-duty painkillers for the first 4-5 months of the magazine’s life. The experience affected my mindset, my energy levels, my willingness to show up to my tribe as a spiritual teacher outside of my magazine work. I couldn’t do it all, so I had to prioritize and some things got left behind. Just for now though, I am slowly getting my mojo and motivation back. It wasn’t a fun time. But even though there were some really dark days and I struggled with the challenge of it all, it was also an incredibly profound time because I had this deep knowing that I was creating something really special.
Scott: Who were you hoping to reach with the magazine?
Kim: When I started, I was so gung-ho and made a pact for the magazine (and everything I am trying to build) to be a ripple that will change a million people’s lives in the next 5 years. Whether that is through readership or the people we inspire our readers and contributors to help, and so forth. So those people!
Scott: Who is the one person on the earth you would love to become a subscriber?
Kim: Tough question. There’s so many that I would be beyond excited about if I found out they’d subscribed. But if I am only allowed to choose one, it’s has to be the Dalai Lama. He is my most favourite person in the world; I love him so much. I’ve had many past-lives with His Holiness and feel such a deep connection to him. Now you’ve got me curious if he would read it!
Scott: What does success look like for you?
Kim: A few things. The obvious, of course, would be financial and business success, worldly travel. But ultimately and probably more important to me is having a deeply happy and content heart that is full of love. Plus having a flowing abundance of all the things I love in my life. That thought really lights me up, and the “how” of that happening is less important than the presence of it in my life.
Scott: If you could achieve one thing by publishing the magazine, what would it be?
Kim: For the magazine to impact our readers enough for them to know they matter, and that they deserve a heart full of self-love. And then for that to ripple out into their lives and for them to fully live that.
Scott: It’s the first birthday for the magazine. How is it going? How do you feel about that?
Kim: I’m excited and it feels like such a big achievement! Time as gone so quickly; I really find it hard to believe that we have finally turned 1 with 12 issues down. Its such an achievement for everyone involved. We are definitely a work in progress and I am learning so much. I need to remember that it all doesn’t have to happen right now or yesterday. So patience has been a big lesson for me. That and letting go of expectations and just allowing things to show up in a way the magazine needs.
She’s got an energy of her own, so I just need to make sure I am tuning into her and intuitively listening. As spirit keeps reminding me, everything happens at the right time.
Scott: What does the next 12 months look like for the mag?
Kim: So many things! Growing our podcast, building out our blog as another resource, launching programs, courses, masterclasses, events, moving into book publishing. I plan on a busy year ahead.

Scott: If there was a woman reading this right now who has always aspired to sharing her story and experience, but has a little voice inside of her telling her she couldn’t do it, what would be your biggest piece of advice be for her?
Kim: Stop listening to that negative voice inside your head. It’s not your truth. Learn to listen to your heart and your intuition instead because they already know how valuable and worthy you are. So just listen and allow yourself to feel your heart. Then, go do that thing you were born to do…
Scott: So last question, Kim. What is your Fierce Truth?
Kim: My heart is.
